Fair Housing Center of West Michigan is celebrating its
28th Year Anniversary. Since 1980, the FHCWM has been working
to ensure equal housing opportunity throughout West Michigan. Every
year the Center opens more than 150 fair housing complaints and
provides information and referral services to over 1,000 people.
The Center invests over 1,500 hours in educating the housing industry,
homeseekers, and the general public regarding rights and obligations
under federal, state, and local fair housing laws as well as working
with local municipalities and elected officials to develop and implement
policies to further equal housing opportunity. Through its work,
the Fair Housing Center has opened up housing opportunities for
thousands of families throughout West Michigan.
Your membership is an important way to demonstrate our community’s commitment to open housing. Not only does it enhance the Center’s credibility as a representative organization, it also provides an opportunity for you or your organization to publicly state your support of the importance of ensuring equal access to housing choice. Members receive periodic newsletters full of updates about cases and Fair Housing activities, copies of the Center’s Annual Report and an invitation to nominate individuals and/or organizations for the Annual Fair Housing Award. Please
consider supporting the Fair Housing Center of West Michigan by
becoming a member at one of the following
levels: While
the Center and the community have made great strides towards ensuring
equal housing opportunity over the past 27 years, much remains to
be done. Your membership will make it possible for the Fair Housing
Center to continue its work towards ensuring equal access to housing
choice for all of West Michigan’s citizens. |
